OYC is not intended to replace school or church choirs. OYC encourages singers to remain involved in those programs while providing an auditioned ensemble able to pursue more challenging and varied repertoire.

Oconee Youth Chorale is a South Carolina nonprofit organization serving young singers in grades 8 through 12. The program combines high-quality choral education and performance with artistic growth, teamwork, discipline, leadership, safety, and service.
